1. Introduction
LitClubber is a literary social network that allows users to discover books, publish works and stories, share opinions, participate in reading clubs, interact with other community members, and use certain purchase, subscription, and monetization features offered within the platform.
At LitClubber, we respect our users' privacy and are committed to handling their personal information responsibly, transparently, and securely.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when a person creates an account or uses the website, mobile application, and other services associated with LitClubber; the purposes for which we use it; the circumstances in which we may share it; how long we may keep it; and what choices and rights each user has regarding their information.
By creating an account or using LitClubber, the user acknowledges having read this Privacy Policy. When a specific activity requires consent, such consent will be requested separately and may be withdrawn when applicable.

The user should not publish sensitive information in their profile that they do not wish to make public, such as exact address, identity documents, financial information, passwords, or private data of third parties.
4.3 Content and activity within LitClubber
We may collect and retain information generated when the user uses the platform, including:
books, chapters, stories, quotes, and other published content;
covers, images, and uploaded files;
opinions, reviews, comments, and replies;
activity wall posts;
votes, reactions, and ratings;
participation in reading clubs, events, and debates;
messages sent through communication features;
books saved, unlocked, or added to the library;
reading history and chapter progress;
reports, blocks, and moderation actions;
author verification requests;

This information is used to display content, operate social features, save reading progress, personalize the experience, moderate the community, and prevent abuse.
4.4 Information related to authors
When a person requests to become a verified author, LitClubber may request information or evidence needed to confirm that the person controls the account, profile, or editorial panel presented during verification.
We may retain:
date and result of the request;
links or evidence provided;
administrative notes;
history of approval, rejection, or suspension;
acceptance of the Author Agreement;
information about published works.
LitClubber should seek to collect only the information necessary to perform the verification.
4.5 Information about purchases, subscriptions, and transactions
When the user purchases Golden Feathers, subscribes to VIP, unlocks content, or carries out other transactions, we may retain information such as:
transaction identifier;
product or plan purchased;
amount, currency, and date;
payment method or provider;
operation status;
renewals, cancellations, and refunds;
internal balance and movements;
history of access acquired to books or chapters.
Payments may be processed by external providers, such as PayPal and Google Play. LitClubber should not directly store full card numbers, security codes, banking passwords, or private credentials of payment accounts.
Payment providers will process certain information according to their own privacy policies and terms of service.
4.6 Information related to withdrawals through PayPal
When a user requests to withdraw earned Golden Feathers that are eligible for withdrawal, LitClubber may collect and retain:
user name or identifier;
email address associated with PayPal;
amount requested;
applicable fee;
net amount;
date of request and processing;
withdrawal status;
operation identifiers;
records needed to prevent fraud, resolve claims, and comply with accounting or legal obligations.
LitClubber will not request the user's PayPal password.
4.7 Information collected automatically
When a person uses LitClubber, our systems and technical providers may automatically collect certain data, such as:

access date and time;

operating system;
device model and type;
language and time zone;
pages and features used;

We use the necessary data to record purchases, VIP subscriptions, Golden Feathers, acquired access, refunds, withdrawals, and internal movements.
Security, fraud prevention, and rule enforcement
We may analyze activity, devices, IP addresses, transactions, and reports to:

When processing depends on consent, the user may withdraw it without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
7. Information visible to other users
LitClubber is a literary social network. Some features are designed to share information with other members or visitors.
Depending on the applicable settings, the following may be visible:
username and public full name;
avatar;
biography;
country;
badges and account level;
published books and stories;
comments, opinions, and ratings;
wall posts;
participation in clubs and debates;
lists or content that the user has configured as public.
Content published in public areas may be viewed, copied, shared, or quoted by other people outside LitClubber's direct control. Therefore, users should think carefully before publishing personal information.
Email address, password, full payment data, and other private information will not be publicly displayed unless the user voluntarily decides to publish them, which we do not recommend.
8. Messages and communications between users
Private messages should not be displayed publicly. However, LitClubber may access or review communications in limited circumstances when reasonably necessary to:

When an account is deleted, certain information may be deleted, anonymized, or disconnected from the profile. However, some records may be retained when there is a legal obligation, a pending transaction, a dispute, an investigation, or a duly justified legitimate interest.
Posts or comments made in community spaces may be retained in anonymized form when deleting them would affect the continuity of conversations or legitimate platform records.
14. Account deletion and acquired content
The user may request deactivation or deletion of their account through the available options or by contacting LitClubber.
Deleting an account does not necessarily imply the immediate deletion of all data. LitClubber may retain limited information related to:

The status of books or chapters commercialized through Golden Feathers will also be governed by the corresponding Monetization Agreement and, when implemented, by the applicable license agreements.

LitClubber will use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information against loss, alteration, unauthorized access, disclosure, or destruction.
These measures may include:
encrypted connections;
secure password storage;
access controls;
logging of administrative activities;
backups;
vulnerability review;
mechanisms against fraud and abuse;
limitation of access according to role and need.
However, no system can guarantee absolute security. The user is responsible for protecting their password, logging out of shared devices, and immediately notifying any unauthorized use.
16. Minors
LitClubber must establish a clear minimum age in its Terms and Conditions and in the registration form.
We will not intentionally collect information from persons who do not meet the minimum age required to create an account without the corresponding authorization.
If a parent, guardian, or representative believes that a minor provided information contrary to this policy or applicable law, they may contact LitClubber to request a review and, when applicable, deletion of the account and its data.

Even if promotional communications are disabled, LitClubber may continue sending essential messages related to:

moderation;
account operation.

LitClubber may contain links to websites, stores, reading platforms, or services operated by third parties.
This Privacy Policy does not control the practices of those third parties. The user should review their policies before providing them with information or using their services.
20. Automated decisions
