Defines the general rules for using LitClubber.
1. Introduction
LitClubber is a literary social network that allows users to discover books, read works published within the platform, share opinions and quotes, participate in reading clubs and debates, publish literary content, interact with other community members, and use certain purchase, subscription, and monetization services.
These Terms and Conditions govern access to and use of LitClubber, including its website, mobile application, internal tools, reading services, author features, clubs, rewards, purchases, subscriptions, and any other feature made available by LitClubber.
By creating an account, accessing the platform, publishing content, participating in clubs, purchasing Golden Feathers, subscribing to VIP, requesting withdrawals, or using any LitClubber feature, the user agrees to comply with these Terms.
If the user does not agree with these Terms, they must not create an account or use LitClubber.

3. Documents That Form Part of the Agreement
These Terms must be read together with:
Privacy Policy;
Cookie Policy;
Author Agreement;
Author Monetization Agreement;
Withdrawal Terms;
VIP Subscription Terms;
Refund Policy, when applicable outside this document;
Community Rules;
license agreements that may later be incorporated for specific paid works.
In case of conflict, the document that specifically regulates the relevant feature will prevail, unless otherwise required by law.
4. Requirements to Use LitClubber
To use LitClubber, the user must have the legal capacity to accept these Terms or the required authorization from a parent, guardian, or legal representative.
LitClubber may establish a minimum age to create an account and may restrict access to content rated +18, +21, or any other age category according to the user's registered date of birth.
Users are responsible for providing accurate information, including their date of birth.
Certain economic features, such as selling content, purchasing a subscription, requesting withdrawals, or accepting commercial agreements, may be limited to adults or may require verifiable authorization from a legal representative.
5. Account Creation
To use certain LitClubber features, the user must create an account.
The user agrees to:
provide truthful, complete, and updated information;
keep their password confidential;
not share the account with third parties;
not create accounts using false information;
not impersonate another person;
notify LitClubber of any unauthorized use.
LitClubber may suspend or close accounts that contain false information, are used fraudulently, violate these Terms, or create a risk for the platform or the community.
6. Types of User
LitClubber may include, among others:
readers;
club members;
club administrators;
verified authors;
VIP users;
moderators or administrators.
Each type of user may have different permissions, limits, benefits, or responsibilities.
Access to author features may require verification and acceptance of the Author Agreement.
7. Author Verification
A user may not publish works as an author until they complete the verification process established by LitClubber.
LitClubber may request:
profile information;
evidence that the user controls an author account or editorial panel;
links to published works;
identifying or supporting information that is reasonably necessary.
Verification may be approved, rejected, suspended, or revoked.
Verification means that LitClubber performed a reasonable review of the submitted information. It is not an absolute guarantee of identity, quality, originality, or legality of all works published by that user.
8. Permitted Use of the Platform
Users may use LitClubber to:
read books and chapters;
publish content when their account allows it;
comment, review, and rate works;
participate in reading clubs;
create or attend events;
publish quotes;
save books to their bookshelf;
unlock content with Golden Feathers;
participate in rewards when enabled.
Use of the platform must be lawful, respectful, related to LitClubber's literary purpose, and consistent with these Terms.
9. Prohibited Conduct
Users may not:
commit, promote, or facilitate illegal acts;
harass, threaten, humiliate, defame, or intimidate other users;
publish personal data, private images, or confidential information of third parties without authorization;
publish, distribute, or link to pornographic, sexually explicit, or primarily sexually stimulating content;
publish any content that sexualizes, exploits, or endangers minors;
promote hatred, violence, or discrimination based on protected characteristics;
use the platform for religious proselytism, partisan campaigns, electoral propaganda, or political activism unrelated to LitClubber's literary purpose;
start or encourage political or religious debates not directly related to the analysis of a work, author, literary movement, or authorized reading-club activity;
share political advertising, electoral propaganda, campaign donation requests, or content intended to influence electoral processes;
repeatedly publish content unrelated to literature, reading, writing, books, authors, or social activities allowed on LitClubber;
publish commercial advertising, promotions, affiliate links, or sponsored content without LitClubber's authorization;
distribute malware, harmful files, dangerous links, deceptive schemes, or fraudulent content;
perform spam, publish repetitive content, or send unsolicited mass messages;
manipulate rankings, votes, likes, ratings, opinions, levels, statistics, or reputation systems;
use fake accounts, coordinated multiple accounts, or organized groups to alter results within the platform;
make fraudulent purchases, use unauthorized payment methods, or provide false information in a transaction;
attempt to withdraw, convert into money, or transfer purchased, promotional, or non-eligible Golden Feathers;
create fictitious sales, purchases, readings, interactions, or transactions;
exploit errors, vulnerabilities, or unintended system behavior to obtain advantages;
access or attempt to access accounts, servers, systems, databases, or administrative areas without authorization;
copy, download, extract, or massively collect books, chapters, profiles, comments, or other data;
use bots, scrapers, scripts, automation, or unauthorized tools;
bypass access controls, blocks, limits, verifications, suspensions, or technical restrictions;
interfere with the stability, security, or operation of LitClubber;
use LitClubber for money laundering, concealing the origin of funds, or carrying out fraudulent financial operations;
publish content that infringes copyright, trademarks, privacy, image rights, honor, or other third-party rights.
The prohibition on political, religious, or non-literary debates does not prevent a work of fiction, essay, review, or reading activity from addressing political, religious, historical, social, or sexual matters when there is a legitimate literary purpose, age-rating rules are respected, and the content does not constitute pornography, propaganda, harassment, discrimination, or illegal material.
10. User-Generated Content
Users may publish books, chapters, stories, quotes, comments, opinions, reviews, images, covers, messages, and other content.
The user retains ownership of the content they publish.
By publishing content, the user grants LitClubber a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to:
host the content;
store it technically;
display it within the platform;
distribute it to users according to available features;
adapt it technically to different devices;
create backups;
moderate it when necessary;
preserve it when legally or operationally required.
This license remains while the content is published and, when purchased access or pending commitments exist, for as long as necessary to honor them.
11. User Responsibility for Content
The user is solely responsible for the content they publish.
The user represents that:
they own the necessary rights;
publication does not infringe copyright;
they have authorization to use third-party materials;
the content does not violate privacy or image rights;
the content is not illegal;
the information provided is truthful.
LitClubber is not required to pre-review all content, although it may do so and may remove, limit, or suspend content when there are legal, technical, security, or community reasons.
12. LitClubber Intellectual Property
The LitClubber name, logo, visual identity, software, interfaces, designs, databases, features, icons, graphic assets, texts, internal systems, and technology are owned by LitClubber or its licensors.
Users may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, decompile, sell, rent, or exploit LitClubber's intellectual property without authorization.
13. Intellectual Property Claims
If a person believes that content published on LitClubber infringes their rights, they may contact:
legal@litclubber.com
The claim should include sufficient information to identify the work, the allegedly infringing content, contact details, and a truthful statement of ownership or authorization.
LitClubber may temporarily suspend, restrict, or remove content while reviewing a claim.
14. Publication of Free Books
Verified authors may publish free books according to the tools available.
Free books:
may be read within the platform when chapters are published;
may generate statistics, comments, and reading activity;
may be removed from publication by the author;
may be subject to moderation.
Publishing a free book does not entitle the author to economic compensation unless a specific program provides otherwise.
15. Books and Chapters Unlocked with Golden Feathers
Some books or chapters may be unlocked by readers using Golden Feathers.
When a reader unlocks access, that reader obtains a personal, limited, non-transferable right to access the unlocked content within LitClubber, subject to these Terms.
Access acquired by the reader must be preserved even if the author later removes the book from future sales, except when there is a legal obligation, serious infringement, platform security risk, or another justified reason.
Purchased access does not transfer copyright or ownership of the work to the reader.
16. Withdrawal of a Paid Book
An author may request or perform the removal of a paid book from the public catalog when the platform enables that feature.
This means the book may stop being available for new readers.
However, readers who previously unlocked chapters with Golden Feathers must keep access to the content they acquired, unless there is a justified legal, security, or moderation reason.
The author agrees that a work with acquired access cannot be deleted in a way that automatically deprives those users of what they unlocked.
This rule does not make LitClubber the owner of the work. LitClubber retains only the license necessary to preserve access acquired by readers.
Complete deletion may occur when:
there is a legal obligation;
there is a serious infringement;
the content represents a risk;
LitClubber determines another reasonable solution.
17. Author Monetization Agreement
Before activating sales through Golden Feathers, the author must expressly accept the Author Monetization Agreement.
This agreement will be available in both book creation and book editing when monetization is activated.
18. Revenue Share and Commission
Unless a specific condition states otherwise:
authors without an active VIP subscription will receive 60% of each chapter unlock and each funded interaction with their AI characters, and LitClubber will retain 40%;
authors with an active VIP subscription will receive 70%, and LitClubber will retain 30%.
Example:
Access price: 1,000 Golden Feathers
Author without VIP: credit of 600 and LitClubber commission of 400
Author with active VIP: credit of 700 and LitClubber commission of 300
The applicable percentage will be determined by the status of the author's VIP subscription at the time of each transaction and will not apply retroactively.
Interactions with AI characters may be funded by acquiring Life Seeds with Golden Feathers or RP. The author's share will be credited as Earned Golden Feathers according to the exchange rate in effect.
When an author funds one of their own AI characters, the author will not receive earnings from that transaction: only LitClubber's commission will be deducted, and the character will receive the full number of Life Seeds acquired.
LitClubber's commission covers, among other items:
infrastructure;
storage;
maintenance;
distribution;
security;
support;
internal processing;
platform development.
Revenue-share percentages may change in the future. Changes will not apply retroactively to completed transactions and must be communicated before taking effect.
19. Golden Feathers
Golden Feathers are digital units used within LitClubber.
The reference conversion will be:
100 Golden Feathers = USD 1
LitClubber may modify commercial packages, bonuses, and prices while respecting already credited balances and existing obligations.
Golden Feathers are not:
legal tender;
a bank deposit;
an investment;
a savings account;
a financial instrument;
an equity interest.
Their use is limited to features authorized by LitClubber.
20. Purchased Feathers and Earned Feathers
LitClubber will maintain an internal distinction between:
Purchased Feathers
These are obtained through payment, VIP subscription, purchase promotions, or commercial benefits.
These Feathers:
may only be used within LitClubber;
may not be withdrawn through PayPal;
may not be converted back into money;
may not be transferred unless a feature expressly allows it.
Earned Feathers
These are credited through reward mechanisms authorized by LitClubber.
These Feathers may be:
used within the platform;
eligible for withdrawal when they meet current conditions.
LitClubber may display both balances separately or together, but must preserve their origin in internal records.
When a user makes a payment or spend, the system may apply a specific rule regarding which balance is consumed first.
21. Purchase of Golden Feathers
Feathers may be purchased through:
Google Play Billing in the Android application;
PayPal or other authorized providers on the web version.
Before confirming the purchase, the following must be displayed:
quantity acquired;
price;
currency;
possible VIP benefits;
non-withdrawable nature.
The user must accept:
I understand that purchased Golden Feathers are for exclusive use within LitClubber and cannot be withdrawn through PayPal.
LitClubber will not directly request the user's PayPal password or complete card details.
22. VIP Subscription
LitClubber may offer a VIP subscription with special benefits.
The initially planned plans are:
weekly;
monthly;
annual.
Prices, taxes, and exact conditions will be shown before purchase.
Benefits may include:
ad-free reading;
VIP badge/frame for profile photo;
discounts or bonuses on Feather purchases;
exclusive quote backgrounds;
exclusive story covers;
expanded limits on certain features;
additional benefits announced on the plan page.
The VIP subscription does not automatically grant free access to all books unlocked through Feathers, unless expressly stated for a specific work or program.
23. VIP Renewal and Cancellation
When the subscription is recurring, it will renew according to the conditions shown by the payment provider.
The user may cancel it through:
their Google Play account, when purchased on Android;
PayPal or the corresponding web mechanism, when purchased on the web.
Benefits will remain active until the end date of the paid period, unless there is fraud or suspension.
24. VIP Feather Benefits
Feathers delivered as a VIP benefit will be considered purchased or promotional Feathers and will not be withdrawable.
When the benefit is periodic:
it will be credited according to the established frequency;
it may require an active subscription;
future periods will not be credited after cancellation;
it may be suspended if payment is rejected.
25. Payment Providers
Google Play and PayPal are independent providers.
The user will also be subject to the terms of the provider used.
LitClubber may receive information such as:
purchase identifier;
status;
amount;
currency;
product;
renewal;
cancellation.
LitClubber does not control provider decisions, such as:
rejecting a payment;
limiting an account;
requesting verification;
holding funds;
applying conversions.
26. Taxes and Prices
Prices may be shown in U.S. dollars or in the currency determined by the provider.
The final amount may vary due to:
taxes;
country;
exchange rate;
provider fees;
app-store rules.
The user will see the applicable final price before confirming an operation.
Authors are responsible for their own tax obligations over income received, unless the law requires LitClubber to withhold or report certain amounts.
27. Withdrawal Request for Earned Feathers
Only earned and eligible Feathers may be withdrawn.
The user must:
meet the withdrawal minimum;
provide a valid PayPal email address;
pass security checks;
have no pending investigations;
accept the withdrawal terms;
comply with the dates established by the system.
LitClubber may reject, delay, or suspend a withdrawal request when there is suspected fraud, errors, inconsistencies, account misuse, or a need for additional verification.
28. PayPal Fees on Withdrawals
Withdrawals may be processed through PayPal.
The user accepts that PayPal fees may be deducted from the amount sent.
LitClubber does not control PayPal's fees, exchange rates, restrictions, account limitations, or processing times.
The net amount received may be less than the amount requested.
The user is responsible for ensuring that the PayPal email address provided is correct.
29. Withdrawal Statuses
Withdrawal requests may have different statuses, such as:
requested;
under review;
approved;
rejected;
processed;
failed;
cancelled.
LitClubber may keep records of each request for security, accounting, legal, and fraud-prevention purposes.
30. Reading Clubs and Debates
LitClubber allows the creation and participation in reading clubs.
Clubs may have:
administrators;
moderators;
members;
events;
debates;
suggested books;
rules.
Users must respect the rules of each club, as long as they do not conflict with these Terms or LitClubber policies.
LitClubber may moderate clubs, remove members, close events, or suspend clubs when necessary.
31. Opinions, Ratings, and Reputation
Users may leave opinions, reviews, ratings, and reactions.
These interactions must be honest, respectful, and based on real participation or reading when applicable.
It is prohibited to manipulate ratings, create false opinions, coordinate artificial reviews, or pressure users to alter a book's reputation.
LitClubber may remove or limit suspicious interactions.
32. Moderation
LitClubber may moderate content, accounts, books, comments, clubs, messages, reports, transactions, and any other activity on the platform.
Moderation measures may include:
warning;
temporary hiding;
content removal;
restriction of features;
suspension;
account closure;
loss of author status;
loss of club administration;
transaction review;
withholding of suspicious balances when justified.
LitClubber is not required to apply measures gradually. It may act immediately when there is serious risk, fraud, illegal content, violation of rights, or danger to the community.
33. Reports and Appeals
Users may report content, accounts, books, comments, or conduct that they believe violates the rules.
LitClubber will review reports according to its internal criteria.
When a measure is taken, the affected user may submit explanations or an appeal through the enabled channels, if available.
34. Service Availability
LitClubber will seek to keep the platform available and functional.
However, it does not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free operation, or permanent availability.
The platform may be affected by:
maintenance;
updates;
technical failures;
third-party provider problems;
network interruptions;
security incidents;
force majeure.
LitClubber may modify, suspend, or discontinue features when necessary.
35. Backups and Loss of Content
LitClubber may create backups, but users are responsible for keeping their own copies of important works or content.
LitClubber is not an archival service or permanent storage service for authors.
36. Third-Party Services and Links
LitClubber may include links to external sites, reading platforms, stores, payment providers, advertising providers, or other third-party services.
LitClubber is not responsible for the content, availability, policies, payments, fees, decisions, or practices of those third parties.
Use of third-party services is subject to their own terms.
37. Account Suspension and Termination
LitClubber may suspend or close an account when there is:
breach of these Terms;
fraud;
impersonation;
abuse;
repeated reports;
illegal content;
infringement of rights;
security risk;
legal requirement;
evasion of sanctions.
Before closing an account with balance, purchases, or access, LitClubber will determine the applicable treatment according to:
origin of balance;
investigations;
pending obligations;
rights of other users.
38. Effects of Closure
After closure:
the user will lose access to the account;
publications may be deleted or anonymized;
LitClubber may keep legal records;
comments may remain anonymized;
acquired access may require special treatment;
earned balances may be reviewed;
active subscriptions must be managed through the provider.
39. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, LitClubber will not be liable for:

third-party provider decisions;
internet failures;

incorrect payment or PayPal information provided by the user;
expectations of income, visibility, ranking, or popularity;
damages derived from use or inability to use the platform.
This clause does not exclude liabilities that cannot legally be limited.
40. Indemnification
The user agrees to hold LitClubber harmless from claims, damages, losses, costs, or expenses arising from:
content they published;
infringement of third-party rights;
breach of these Terms;
fraudulent use of the account;
illegal activity;
misuse of payment or withdrawal systems.
41. Changes to the Terms
LitClubber may update these Terms when necessary due to:
new features;
legal changes;
security needs;
payment-provider changes;
business-model adjustments;
community protection.
When changes are material, LitClubber may notify users through the platform, email, or another reasonable means.
Continued use of LitClubber after the effective date of the changes implies acceptance of the updated Terms, unless the law requires express consent.
Changes that alter already consolidated economic rights should not be imposed retroactively, unless there is a legal obligation or valid agreement.
42. Applicable Law
These Terms will be governed by the laws of the Republic of Panama, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection, data protection, or intellectual property rules that may apply in other jurisdictions.
43. Dispute Resolution
Users agree to first attempt to resolve disputes directly with LitClubber through the support or legal channels.
Contact email:

If no resolution is reached, disputes may be submitted to the competent authorities according to applicable law.
LitClubber may also cooperate with administrative, judicial, or regulatory authorities when legally required.
44. Severability
If any clause of these Terms is declared invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining clauses will remain in effect.
45. No Waiver
LitClubber's failure to exercise a right immediately does not constitute a waiver of that right.
46. Assignment
The user may not transfer their account or agreement-derived rights without authorization.
LitClubber may transfer its rights or obligations in case of reorganization, merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or business continuity operation.
47. Entire Agreement
